The Developer / Builder ANDTON Properties appointed Gallese Design to provide Performance Design requirements and maintain a 'concept guardian' role for the duration of the project.
The client did not have a 'green' engineering aspiration and the project was very much function over form - cost driven. The Exchange is a period style building and all external features subject of strict planning restrictions. Notwithstanding the budget, the apartments were all sold and let off plan and the tenant turnover is considered lower than expected/
The Ground Floor is a shell provision for a number of small commercial units. Three upper floors are traditional brick built and thermal upgrade provided. Twenty eight 'plus' to be completed over a phased development. One and two bedroom apartments with individual heating systems and a communal water boosting provision.
